The place for random penguin musings and the home of the Linkin Park Penguin

The ‘Pain and Pleasure’ of a Penguin Tattoo

on August 19, 2012

“tattoos exude pain and pleasure all at the same time”  – Chester Bennington (Linkin Park)

And Chester is right: it does hurt a bit, but I’m a brave penguin and I went through the pain for the pleasure of showing the world how devoted I am to the Linkin Park Penguin cause.  So basically:

1. I felt I needed to notch up my campaign for the Linkin Park Penguin and clearly the badge and the rapping wasn’t enough.

2. It is not uncommon to be influenced by your idols.

And it’s not like I copied him exactly – Chester Bennington has a Pisces fish and a koi tattoo: krill was clearly more suitable for me.

Goethe said that ‘painting and tattooing the body is a return to animalism’ so when a penguin gets a tattoo what does it mean?

Surely it can’t be a return to ‘humanism’?
